Culture and Strategy are Key to Clarity Quest Marketing’s Historic Success

Winning Agency of the Year once is hard enough. Winning it twice is an incredible feat. Earlier this year, Clarity Quest Marketing won the 2022 Medigy HITMC Award for Agency of the Year. It was the second award for the company based in Mystic, CT.

I sat down with Christine Slocumb, President at Clarity Quest Marketing, to find out more about the agency and how they were able to achieve this notable accomplishment.

When asked what she attributed Clarity Quest Marketing’s success to, Slocumb quickly pointed to the people, values, and the culture at the agency. “We have built a culture here that I’m really proud of. Everyone has each other’s backs. The team has people who have been here 15, 11, and 9 years, which is quite a feat in today’s job market. And then we have people who have joined us over the past few years who already call it their “forever job”. We’ve really built a culture here where folks want to stay.”

This strong culture is noticed by their clients.

In an almost unheard feat, Slocumb stated that in their 21 years of running, Clarity Quest Marketing has never missed a deadline. This is a direct result of the quality of people on the team AND on the supportive culture at the company. Whenever someone falls behind or has to step away from work, someone else on the team steps forward and helps ensure the client deliverables are met.

In addition to their strong culture, Clarity Quest Marketing’s success is also a result of their careful strategic planning. Over the years, Slocumb and her team have discovered the knack for knowing exactly want they can offer their clients and how long it will take. They set aggressive, yet realistic timelines for themselves and for their clients, then focus on executing effectively on that strategy to deliver on time and on budget.
